So i have a slot to clearwater but im thinking of getting the 125 back or whatever because I figure it will cost me close to 800 bucks to go out there and race.
Whats the cheapest you think you could do Clearwater for? I could fly in Friday or Saturday(if i can still register for race that day). Is there anywhere to camp out or is it all basically five star hotels?
Stay home and read all the race reports on Slowtwitch on Sunday.
On a more serious note, I stayed at a hotel about 4 miles east of Pier 60, which was right on the corner of the bike course actually. Something like $69 or $79 a night. Race day morning, there were shuttles from the other side of the bridge to get you to transition no problem. Driving before the race to pick up stuff, register, drop off bike, etc was a little bit of a hassle, but that was because the roads on the island were all under construction.
