At the end of a short EZ run (~20min) that followed a computrainer session- I got a real acute pain just below the tibial tuberosity (bump) on my left leg. It hasn’t gone away after 2 days of icing and I’ve never had this injury before. Any idea what this is- maybe related to the patellar tendon insertion point?
If it hurts go and see a doctor, better then getting advice on a forum. We can’t see it in order to help. Everyone is different with injuries and treatment required. As for me I am a hypochondriac who should get only specialised help and I wouldn’t want to give you the wrong advice.
That is where the patellar tendon inserts so maybe an acute tendonitis.
Have you upped your cycling or run volume recently, is doing bricks a new thing for you? Tendonitises, if that’s what it is, are usually an overuse injury of some sort.
NSAIDS too
