quest cookies are soft, and guilt free if you want to try
Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Hadn’t had one in forever. Several hours later, I’m still feeling full.
I’m making more of an effort to cook more. I use the word “cook” loosely.
Yesterday: grilled sunbutter and baked apple sandwich on local sourdough. (When I say “cook more” this is a step up from not grilling it, or not baking the apple. The apple bake was a test as my body doesn’t love raw apples - fructose malabsorbtion)
Today: lettuce, tomato, a little bit of broccoli/kale slaw, shredded daikon, ginger dressing, pan-fried tofu (the “cooking” here is I grilled the tofu rather than eat it “raw”/plain); 88 Acres choc fudge brownie bar
PBJ on homemade honey wheat, and some leftover jalapeno mac and cheese.
greek yogurt, oatmeal, half a no bake cookie, spoonful of peanut butter frosting
Busy doing a bunch of stuff so lunch was a quick and easy go to: PB on multigrain bread with sliced strawberries and blueberries instead of jelly.
Went out for lunch with a friend (ramen). I’m full and happy and warm (office is COLD thanks to the boilers being off and outside temps close to freezing).

I don’t know if that is creative or lazy. lol “Hey Larry. I need to put something on this ice cream. You got any fresh strawberries or peaches?” “No. All I got is tater tots”. “Okay, that’ll do. We’ll just tell them that we’re being avant-garde”
well, people dip fries in milkshakes but there isn’t usually ketchup involved.
yesterday I had whole milk yogurt, a piece of a strawberry and cheese danish, and a piece of an eclair. Both were from a local bakery.
today I had a rice cake with avocado and pickle; a salad w steamed broccoli/cold cuke, croutons, and a spicy tahini dressing; and egg whites with sour cream. Midafternoon snack is m and m cookies and an Edy’s lemon popsicle.
Went to the Italian market yesterday.
I have a badass workout scheduled for today, because a version of this is planned for a late lunch/early dinner.
Now you’re speaking my language. That looks wonderful.
Saturday: canned Amy’s lite-in-Na soup + steamed broccoli/greens + a lot of croutons
2 eggs, some avocado slices, some salsa and hot sauce on a flour tortilla for me.
salad w/ croutons and a lemon herb dressing, and a pb fit protein bar here for Sun. Their protein bars are a lot better than the actual powdered peanut butter they make
mon: cold oatmeal w/ grapes, nectarine pieces, and sunflower seed butter
My wife made a “tomato pie” last night using tomatoes and herbs from our garden. It is a meal pie, not a dessert pie. It was very good and had a lot of flavor. I just had a piece for lunch. Still good.
I had a couple cookies for lunch today. I had that “sugar stomach” feeling after and remembered why cookies do not make a good lunch.
I hate how as a kid you think it’ll be awesome to be an adult and get to eat ice cream for dinner and then you do it as an adult and find it isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Had a homemade salad, grilled chicken breast, and stuffed all of that into a couple of pita halves.
Can of Fresca to drink.
Handful of chocolate almonds (the 2 ingredient ones, that aren’t really 2 ingredients)
Solid meal.
