I read in another thread that basic testing for doping costs about $500, which does not include testing for blood doping. That got me thinking. Does anyone know what type of testing they do on the pros at Kona, what specifically they test for, and how many athletes are tested? Thanks.
you really think announced in competition testing can do a thing to stop doping?
Ironman doesn’t test for anything. Drug testing comes through the NGB (USAT) and the USDA. The USDA has a list of banned substances.
that would be usada, no the usda. but ironman (wtc) just hires them to run drug testing for their races. otherwise, they would have no interest.
