What training diary do you use?

Hi Everybody,

I’ve boon looking at, and playing with, a bunch of training diaries. Up until now I’ve always used my own excel spreadsheet and the Polar software, but after looking I’ve found quite a few good ones out there. Here’s what I’ve found…

beginnertriathlete.com

coolrunning.com

qbike.com

Training Diary (lets-tri.com)

Athlete’s Diary (stevenscreek.com)

What does everybody use, and are there others worth noting?

triathlog

www.trainingpeaks.com
.

Tri-Geek spreadsheet
.

I used cool running last year but I think it kind of came up short… Next year I’m going to use a custom spreadsheet so I have more control.

I just started using WorkoutLog http://www.workoutlog.com (acct was just set up 1hr ago).

You can upload Polar HRM data, but you can enter HR averages for intervals/etc and get a very good look at how your training breaks down.

I can write a more detailed write up after a few weeks of usage if folks are interested.

The best diary is the one that fits.
Mine fits my pocket very well, thank you very much. It cost me 250 dollars for some guy from Michigan to measure my pocket, and find the correct diary. I also need one that fits my writing style, and my choice of writin instrument. This guy is so good well worth the money. I now log data much better and I feel more comfortable adding my records to the pages. I still suck in running.

LOL, but didn’t it take forever for your diary to get in after you ordered it?

About as “Old School” (sorry) as you can get.

I use BT.com (free, low-level version), Tri-Cats (like Tri-Geeks … only better), and sometimes go back and update my PC coach if I feel like it. Really, I only us BT.com b/c I’m involved in the monthly challenges … Tri-Cats has everything I need.

I am getting trainingpeaks.com for this upcoming 05-06 year.
