**Sunday: **Partly to mostly cloudy and windy. High near 50F. Winds WNW at 20 to 30 mph.
Would any of you attempt to ride a disc and a Hed3 in these conditions. It is a sprint with only a 10 mile bike.

The Virginia Duathlon had similar conditions this year. Plenty of folks rode that combination (or Zipp 909) with no major incidents. But I rode behind a buddy with 909s and he would absolutely get killed every time we rode out from cover of a side wind, like when you pass houses, barns or thick copses of trees. One time he ended up on the other side of the yellow line. He wasn’t the only one with that issue either. I had an Alps wheel on the front and my Powertap pro/CXP-33 wheel on the rear. I had no such issues.
How important is this race? Important enough that you’re willing to risk going down? If not, then think about using a different set of wheels.
TriBriGuy,
Thanks for the advice. This race is not important at all. I will most likely use my training wheels.
