What to do? 32 day's to go and I missed my long ride/transition run

My wife was ill this weekend forcing me to miss my 6 hour ride / 1 hour transition run. This is my first long ride workout missed.

Do I just let it pass and pick up my schedule for the week or do I modify my week and slip the workout in… I can easily take off work to fit it in.

I usually try to build in the ability to shuffle workouts as time permits… but not my long stuff. If you have the ability to fit it in, and it won’t compromise your recovery, go for it. Otherwise, I say let it go and pick up your schedule for the next week.
