I have read the book. It’s in my book shelf.
I think the issue with complex systems is that they get a life of their own. The strategy is not transformed into objectives and tactics.

Good on ya Jon Boy. If you hadn’t responded YaHey
would have been left out of the conversation … again.
Well the Dems are voted in, YaHey and his lefty friends should be happy, but old habits die hard and Yahey is still spewing. As expected happy with them are the terrorists.
Some bite sized latest updates -
Just released over the internet is Abu Ayub al Masri’s (Al Zarqawi’s successor) latest 20 minute speech. To the cheers and chants of Jihad and quotes from the Koran some of the things said -
“Rumsfield resigned because he’s running scared away from the war.”
“Dems are in, it shows the weakness of the American spirit. Tell the Dems not to pull out of Iraq, we haven’t spilt enough American blood yet.”
The comparison of Iraq to Vietnam is ridiculous in practically all aspects. Here’s another … in VN the commies just wanted to take over their own Vietnam and full stop … What do you think the radical Islamists really want?
Elswhere -
In UK the chief of M15 has revealled that a lot of home grown terrorist activity has been taking place. Five attempts have been thwarted over the past year.
At present 30 on going terror plots are being tracked.
All terror plots are internationally linked and many of the perps have designs on the USA. Such as with that bloke just sentenced to 40 years. 40 years for planning mass murder on both sides of the Atlantic??? In contrast the Muslims in the past have beheaded kidnapped Westerners for the crime of performing aid work to their people. Aid workers really should find a better non-Muslim place to do their good deeds.
With the results of the elections, an increase in terror related activity is expected and some of this initial escalation in activity is already evident.
Well so much for the lefties’ claims that a down scaling of Iraq and withdrawal will somehow appease them Muslims and reduce the terror threat. And Bush and his mob are so engrossed in cosying up to the newly elected Dems, (word of the moment is ‘bipartisan’) I just hope that his eye hasn’t been taken off the ball long and sufficiently enough for some terror perps to find an opening. The distraction now to crucial international going ons, I guess is similar to when Clinton was caught up in his domestic related BJ mess. Maybe that’s why Korea was allowed to go nuclear.
In the midst of all this election results, Israel is contemplating more seriously in taking on Iran on it’s own. After all if Iran goes nuke Israel is first on it’s list. That has been very explicitly spelt out by the Iranian leadership on numerous occassions. Oh yes and the Grand Ayotollah had some choice happy words to say about the Dems’ election victory too.
Keep your fingers and toes X-ed folks, and hope for the best. Hopefully we’ve always got hope!

There you go. You should have been the one to replace Rummy! What were they thinking?
You are full of excuses for Rummy.
I thought you’d be hiding under your bed afraid of the muslims outside your door by now.

Do you think all of that happened in the last 72 hours?

Hey Case … trick question? -
… No but it nevertheless presents a clear and present danger. Just hope them Dems voted in take it seriously too.
What excuses? … name just one … please.
Well you’re trying to be funny har-har sarcastic? Tell that joke to all the people who have had their loved ones blown to smithereens around the world over the last few years… If the hat fits …
(YaHey)
“Dems are in, it shows the weakness of the American spirit. Tell the Dems not to pull out of Iraq, we haven’t spilt enough American blood yet.”
I don’t think the radical Muslims care about who is in power. They are not going to stop regardless of who is in the Whitehouse or Congress.
That’s why I think we have to go after them, and as you know, why I think we have to get out of Iraq. It’s pretty clear from the messages coming out that we haven’t really accomplished too much by being there.
He did nothing wrong. But someone has to be held accountable. He was on the receiving end. Hopefully he can find work outside government where the man will earn what he is worth.
In the mean time, it is our loss.

Through all their religious vitrol and their barbaric actions and now their tauntings because they see a weakening of resolve due to election results, - 2 reactions … 1) Withdraw … give up and prove them right … or … 2) Really take it to them and destroy them and their capability before leaving.
I know which I choose for better long-term security and better US positioning in the ME. The problem with the latter plan is Iran … that’s where the insurgence keep getting their support from, logistically … weapons and manpower. Seems like if there is a commitment to do this thing properly, it can’t be donein half measures. That has been the nucleus of the problem from the start since the invasion.

Are you under the impression that reading Art of War is what prepares one for war?
