I’m doing a lot of adjusting on my bike fit and I’m curious to see what size frames people are riding. I’m 5’11" and seems that I get the best position with approx. a 51 cm top tube. Does this seems too short?
Without know the length of your torso, arm length, inseam etc as well as top tube length it is really impossible to know, although most would say that someone your height on a tri bike would ride in the 53-56 range somewhere.
She’s somewhere between a 3 and a 4.
I’m 6’2" and I could ride a 51cm top tube with 210mm stem. Although Pino Moroni might advocate it, I’d prefer a bike with a little more steering precision. Reread the fit guideline on reach and see if you can find a bike that will allow the dimension you are looking for. If you need a 51cm top tube, try finding a bike like the Trek TTT bike with a slack seat angle so you can jam the saddle forward and arrive at a shorter cockpit than the bike was designed for. If you buy a 78 degree bike with a 51cm top tube, you are going to end up with two feet of drop from the saddle to the bars.

I’m 6-3 with a 37" inseam. I’ve ridden bikes from 51cm to 63cm and XX-large (depending on how you measure).
The 51cm was a custom made Tiemeyer. The seat post was super long to fit my 37" legs. The 63 was a Cannondale and I’m currently on an X large Softride with the extended seat post and a riser kit on top of that!! My Zipp is a Large frame/large beam 700c with the beam all the way to the top!
I’m 5.11, 55 cm top tube, 10 cm stem. But since my saddle is moved approx 4 cm forward, 51 cm seems OK.
