Kind of wierd. Guy has every kind of sponsor but a shoe sponsor.

Especially weird given he has the fastest run time the last 2 years. Don’t think he had a bike sponsor in some of his earlier Kona outings either. Decent sponsorship must be hard to get…

I thought the A5 comes out in February, is that what you are refering to or are you saying the A4 receives a color update in 2/12?
Amazing that he doesn’t have a shoe sponsor! Fastest runner in Kona 2 years in a row now and no one is throwing money at him?

Pete is wearing the International color of the Type A4. Limited run in the states, but released abroad as the only color. The Type A5 comes out in Feb 12. The midsole and outsole remain exactly the same as the A4, but the upper gets stripped of stitching. there wasn’t much already, but there will be welded overlays around the toebox, and welded overlays around the midfoot. Gussetts stay the same around the tongue. Two colors right out of the gate, as opposed to the single color option from the A4. Weight is reduced .5oz from these changes. In the Kona Run gallery, the last picture is of Linsey, but is mislabeled as “Age grouper running down…” She is indeed wearing the A5 in the blue/citron/pink color.
Not sure what will happen in the future with the Commerzbank team members. They were sponsored by Scott and Norman wore the T2’s, but the rest of the team was wearing the Saucony Fastwitch. Marino and Timo were huge fans of this shoe.
also, a fun little thing I noticed in one of the galleries showing Macca out on the course cheering. He was wearing a pair of Under Armour shoes that were constructed with an UA upper, but Asics Speedstar midsole/outsole. I guess when you can’t beat 'em, copy & paste 'em.
I saw that pic and noticed it too, only it was the hyperspeed midsole/outsole, not speedstar…
i get the two mixed up frequently. I’m a Saucony guy, so who cares?
