What rate are you refi-ing at?

Just curious. Just got down to 4.875 for 30 year. Fees weren’t cheap, but it’ll save us $500/month! Zipps here I come!

VA streamline refi: going from 6% to 5%. About a month ago, I figured it was better to lock now than wait around for a slightly lower rate with more fees.

4.625 15yrs down from 5.25 for 15yrs

30 year fixed at 4.75%, no points.

Same here, through Wells Fargo (original mortgage holder). Just got the approval today. Gotta love the appraisal, which has us only down 10% from when we bought in August 2007; granted, I live in a pretty good neighborhood that has very few houses for sale. Of course, the appraisal also lists the original slate foyer floor…that I ripped out in December 2007 and replaced with travertine.

We’re standing pat on our 2003 note. That spring everything blipped downwards and we ended up with 4.875% fixed for 15, and it just doesn’t seem worth it to refi again for us unless a 15 year goes under 4.

4.375 for 15, no points.

Man, all you 15 year term people are impressive! I’m so damn house-poor as it is with a 30!

You live in Breckenridge so just shut up! We would all like to trade houses with you. I’m in the SF Bay Area too so I understand your issues. My 1100 SF house is still worth more than I paid for it in 1999 and I’m down to only 227K left on it, but man it’s hard on one income to even afford it with this economy. No bonus or raise this year hurts. But at least I have my job still.

We refied at 4.6% (no points) about 45 days ago of a 30-year fixed. Might have left 250 - 300 bps on the table, but the opportunity to tade down by more than 1% was greater than getting the last nickel.
