so far we have 2 programs in place with coaches: computrainer and swimovate. i’m working on a number of others. bear in mind that i have a strong commitment to the IBD (LBS). i just would never pursue a partnership between a manufacturer of bikes, or helmets, or floor pumps, and coaches. simply put, coaches are not the primary touch point between athletes and bike makers, nor should they be, nor are they equipped to be.
but coaches may well be the proper focus and integrating expert between and athlete and, say, a portable lactate analyzer. hence my interest in pursuing the right channel for both the athlete and the manufacturer.
in some cases some of these programs might not involve finance. maybe it’s just a manufacture looking for a number of coaches to comprise their “think tank” and, if we can help facilitate that, maybe we can bend the trajectory of a manufacturer toward those features a coach deems most important.
