Man, if you read about what LeMond has to say about Armstrong, and what Armstrong has to say about Simeoni, you start to see that this is one pissy bunch of athletes. The bad mouthing and accusations don’t help the sport at all and it’s just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I wish I could say that LA was above it all, but he clearly isn’t. You’d figure that the winners of the tour (including Lemond) would have better things to do than bad mouth not only each other but also lesser riders. It’s pretty lame.
You should hear football players and basketball players. Locker rooms on the same team are often hotbeds of hostility. (I used to have a standing order to kick my third baseman’s ass every time I pitched for my American Legion team because he was such a lazy, shleppy moron.)
Isn’t Shaq already privately saying how happy he is to be kissing Kobe goodbye? The Miami/Lakers games should prove interesting for a couple of years, assuming Kobe isn’t doing 20 years.
Yeah, it’s all over sports. Boys will be boys. Would you have it any other way? What? Cafe Lattes at 20 paces? Sheezh…
