Like all thing in when talking about cycling talking bike comfort turns into confusing religious bullshit. How do you define and what does it mean to you?
I’m interested to see this one as well…I ride a lot of different bikes and I like them all for different reasons.
it means i can ride without being distracted by hurting ass, arms, taint, balls, hands, back, or neck, or knees, or feet
i find this very easy to achieve o a road bike, very hard on a tri bike for long rides. usually due to the taintal constraint above
I define bike comfort as being the following: the only pain I feel is the burn in my legs. If there is something else I’m focusing on, I’m either not going hard enough or the fit isn’t right.
The bottom line is comfort is the most important thing. Fatigue sets in very quickly when comfort is missing. The most aero position tested in the wind tunnel means nothing if you can’t hold it comfortably.
Comfort is over-rated…
the most aero position I can hold for an hour (give or take a few mins) while still being able to deliver constant power to the pedals without affecting the run after.
