There were ~6 instances of this at Buffalo Springs. I chatted with the chief ref about it, and he said that he did not want to only DQ the ones he saw (2) and let the others get away with it. While I personally disagree, that is certainly a defensible stance. He did say he would be having a chat with Jimmy R about the situation.
IMHO, an ACME rocket fired net would work quite nicely! Then again, I’m the type that wishes officers would write tickets to the people feeding bread to the ducks next to the “don’t feed the ducks” sign.
If they really want to prevent it, just make harsher penalties. DQ them, kick them out of the finish area, and auction their bike to the highest bidder. YUUUUUPPP!!!

What is the difference between a family hug before and one after crossing the finish line? A hug is a hug and that hug should be given after, not before finishing the race.
