What food is your guilty pleasure?

I love pasta and my husband is gluten free. Last night he had plans - but came home first unexpectedly and found me and DD having a glutenfest.

Everyone at works knows I will call Italian if asked what I want to eat.

Donner kebab (giro?) with all the salad, garlic and chilli sauce. Just love 'em. Luckily there’s no where within a couple of hundred miles to get one, so if I’m away from home and there the chance I grab it.

My “cheat night” is usually Friday evenings.
I have a favourite burger joint, or Korean fried chicken place I usually get my fix from. Those are my go-to’s.

If I’m cooking guilty pleasure food at home, it’s pasta (which I can consume an ungodly amount of, thanks to my Italian heritage).

fresh made bread and full fat butter and a sprinkle of sea salt.

I refuse to have “guilty pleasure” foods. I like food. I like eating. I’m not feeling bad about it.

That was what I was going to say. I love to eat, and try to keep a healthy balance but don’t stress if I fail.

I’d say scrapple, but I don’t feel the least bit guilty about it. If you’re grossed out by it, that ain’t my problem.

I can’t pick one.

  • A good & spicy lamb vindaloo in the summer
  • A big bowl of Hu Tieu (Pho) in the winter
  • Golnka (pork hock) with kapusta (sourkraut) in Poland
  • Chicken Rice and/or a steaming bowl of Bak Kut Teh when vising Singapore
  • Yong Tau Fu and/or Satay when in Penang

Bet you live in Fairfield? I’m with you on burgers and pasta, but find the fried chicken tasty but I always feel greasy afterwards.

I used to live right in cook st village. Easy walking to big wheel burger. Im still pretty close by, around a 5-10 minute drive.

I prefer chicken 649 to Thunderbird, personally. Thunderbird overcooks IMHO. That greasy feeling is what I’m after, not what I’m looking to avoid :-). Wash that chicken down with a fat tug IPA, and I’m not moving for several hours afterwards!!

A good Neapolitan pizza with a glass of wine. I am easy.

Ha, my guess was close. My girlfriend lives in Fairfield (I’m in Van), as do many of my high school/uni friends so spend a great deal of time around there. I haven’t tried either chicken place but know fans of both…and I hear ya on the Fat Tug syndrome

These, with a cold lager.

649 is amazing. The fried chicken tossed in Yang-Nyeom sauce is the best.

Fried chicken is definitely my biggest guilty pleasure.

McDonald’s hamburgers. The small ones - cost a buck, super thin, warm bun, just some ketchup, mustard, pickles and onions. My god I love those things.

I’m pretty sure that I should eat less chocolate and eat fewer chips. I’m also pretty sure you’ll have to pry them from my cold, dead hands.

I always get the original. Whenever I get a half and half of something, I regret it.

Not that their sauces are bad; their original is just that damn good.

That place is a hidden treasure.

Moon Pies and a cold RC or a dip cone from Dairy Queen. I usually had one or the other after a trip to the (cattle) sale barn with my Grand Dad.

Aaaaaand why I never buy it, except in my fantasies…
