Do you have particular clothes you always wear to a race in transition to set up your bike or put on after a race? what do you wear and why? do you wear them for comfort? Superstition? warmth?
just curious…

I wear T-shirts and sweatshirts, and thin sweatpants (baggies, like the meat-heads wear) over race shorts. Wear it for warmth. Damn I hate early morning races.
Sequins.
Lots and lots of sequins.
do you personally sew your own sequins on? if so, what do you sew them onto? do you race in sequins too? how do they feel under a wetsuit?
Anything not-triathlon related, jeans and a leather jacket is a favorite pre-race, and some crazy post race attire to stun the crowd!
tfun~

Post race I always wear a medal
Only thing I wear, and not superstition but for precaution, is some loose fitting running shorts after the race. Get out of those tri shorts as soon as possible. Things grow, and not in a good way, down there.
I hear you…sadly on my team there are folks (male AND female) who’s tri shorts can walk by themselves… In LP last year the same pair would be seen for days…and no, hanging them in the breeze for a few mins does NOT constitute laundry!
Prerace–a shweet adidas running suit (I feel like I’m warming up shooting 3 pointers in the NBA)
Postrace–my elvis white sequined jumpsuit (w/ the sunglasses). Glad to see i’m not the only one who likes shiny clothes. Oh, and Ugz.
Pictures???
Pictures???
Sorry, didn’t really happen

Damn, you beat me to it.
Though I had something in mind like a Ric Flair style robe.

I wear sweatpants and a track jacket and flip flops, pretty typical. I’ve always wanted to get a set of white warm-ups with some stripes … like what the Romanian gymnastics team might wear (and a transition bag to match), then I could walk around transition with glitter in my hair feeling really special. But I’ve actually looked into getting some and they aren’t as easy to come by as you might imagine.
Wacky Romanians
.
I usually show up in jeans and a t-shirt. No specific t-shirt either. If it’s really hot then I wear casual shorts. After the race I throw the shorts and t-shirt back on. I don’t do it for superstition or to stand out or anything. I just do it to be comfortable because I often wear jeans and a t-shirt…i’m not too complicated.
Romanian gymnasts or German football players?
Or pure as the driven snow?

That is super chav-y, no?
As Chavy as one can get without a Burbery check! I’m impressed, I didn’t think chavism had hit the US. Do you know what CHAV stands for?
are old skool adidas Samba considered Chav friendly? I hope not because i just picked up a pair on my xmas trip to Blighty…
Samba shoes not, samba suits possibly.
