I was up in Lake Louise Canada and happened into the bike shop there. I saw a tri-set up that looked pretty sweet. I asked the shop mechanic what was up with the devinici brand since I had not seen it in the U.S. He told me that they were a Canadian brand. He also told me that Cervelo and DeVinci went in together in terms of investing on their new carbon frames. Anyone know if these bikes are legit? The price points he was quoting me seem to be a pretty good if not great deal. Thanks!
P.S. if you can make it up to the Banff area the trail running and riding (mainly mtb in the rental stores) was incredible. It reminded me a lot of New Zealand. However, the altitude definitely made work outs more challenging.
I have a Devinci commuter. Love the thing (especially like cuz it’s a Canadian bike). You might have been looking at the Leo? It’s not a commonly ridden bike, but those I’ve talked to that have one like them.
I owned a Devinci aluminum TT frame for awhile and sold it here on the ST classifieds last year. Nicely built. I bought it used and did a little research before obtaining it. They are a legit brand and have been around for many years. Not as well known south of the border as Cervelo or Guru. Since we are pretty close to Canada up here in Seattle, I see a few here and there.
The comment about working together with Cervelo sounds a little bogus, though.
I’ve seen a couple of Leo’s up close in local bike shops and they are nothing like the P2C. They share the same general shape as a P2C but then so does a Guru or a Felt, but the details are completely different.

Well, I would not frequent this shop if I were you, as they obviously don’t know what they are talking about. Devinci is a nice company, but there is no laboration on frame development or anything else between them and us.
