There’s more than one? Disturbing. I’m on the Westside, in a cubicle, and slacking. What part of town are you slacking on?

First job out of college: flying Uncle Sam’s airplanes off of aircraft carriers; retired.

Second job: mentally abusing young children (8th grade science teacher); almost as much fun as my first.

Third job: I’m waiting to see what I want to do when I grow up; naw, never happen

Hobby: learning to run off of the bike; getting better but a loooong way to go!

Use birth control, teacher. I’m with kids all day, the last thing I want to do is come to so a screaming kid.

with a 16 month old (loosing sleep)
What are your day jobs??

Marketing Analyst, married, two boxer puppies, and working on MBA.

I do CAD for a plumbing and mechanical engineering firm. I sit in a cube all day, no windows anywhere nearby.

I am a single father of an 8yo. Training happens when she sleeps.

SAP consultant, never know where the next job’s gonna be. Right now it looks like I’m gonna be close to home for a while.

Married, 17 year old stepdaughter and 7 year old son. Let’s just say that Long distance tris are not planned in the immediate future

I have a manufactured and modular home dealership. I do most of my training at 5:00am.

I chat on line with babes all day.

I’m also training to be a cage-fighter.

WOW!! Pretty interesting stuff. I wonder how many hours of training are you all getting in a week?

I’m a certified massage therapist and also work in the bicycle industry…

Advertising–creative type. I train when I’m not out drinking (read: kissing ass) with the other lushes in this business. The stereotypes are true. Only leaves me about 12-18 hours/week. Married. No kids–at least not until I do an iron distance.

welding supervisor…hours of training per week=0 (I really need to stop being lazy…better weather is leaving me without an excuse)

Lean Manufacturing Specialist, I go in to businesses, detail their processes, identify opportunities to improve and then implement sustainable changes. The changes have to be embedded, no sense just doing it for a business if they dont maintain it, so we provide training and tools to make it sustainable.

Its a 60 hour week, usually away from home. Be flexible and dont expect to be outstanding, just do my best with the time I have.

How do you manage financially to go through medical school with 2 little children to care for? I have often considered such a move but finances prevent it from being possible.

Mortgage broker so training can be erratic even though my schedule is very flexible.
