Both terms pencil crayons and coloured pencils were used more or less equally. I use both terms.
Other than the u, here they are called pencil crayons.

Called coloured pencils in most of the English speaking world. You guys in the USA are just lazy, always dropping out the letter “u” in a lot of words.
If those are just pens, the photo at the top just shows pencils.
Crayons are wax. Pencils are wood and graphite. Colored crayons are colored wax. Colored pencils are wood and colored graphite. There is no relationship between pencils and crayons.

Here in Oz - coloured pencils and crayons. I’m not sure why we pick on the pencils as being “coloured”, probably because a basic pencil is grey (graphite?) while crayons by their nature are always coloured?
