A chick on a road bike, or a chick on a cyclocross bike? 
I need to buy one, but don’t have the budget for both. Would I be made fun of for riding a cyclocross bike at a road race? Is it along the same line as riding a mountain bike at a triathlon?
I am not particularly attracted to female cyclists at all from a strictly aesthetic perspective.
Post a picture, for us to help in the decision process. You receive a little cache for turning up on a Cross bike in a road race and people think twice about coming into a bend or corner with you too, think you are going to fight hard to keep your line.

Are you breathing and willing to smile back? He won’t care.
If you are going to road race, get a road bike. If you are going to cyclocross race, get a cyclocross bike. If you are going to do both, buy the road bike now, and pick up a used cross bike in the fall for a few hundred.
I do believe a chick on a tri-bike trumps all.

Calee, men don’t pass judgement based on what type of bike you’re riding whether it’s 'cross or road, that’s incredibly shallow.

Get a road bike cause buying those are fun. If you’re hot, i’d recommend riding the Eganski05. Very strong ride…

If it is the hotness factor that you are after I would suggest an old De Rosa Track bike. Make sure it is a fixed gear and rolling on tubulars don’t give into a single speed and clinchers. The bike is like the perfect women… elegant, exotic and built for speed. Yep that about does it for me.
