My daughter is 6. We live on Ft Riley, KS so of course there were memorials. Lots of little kids with deployed parents. Last year we were at Ft Sam Houston; the burn center is there and one of her classmates’ father was recovering from an IED blast. She asked some tough questions. Hard to explain to 6 year old why the world is so screwed up. What did you tell yours?
