my cable cutters (probably 10 years old) are now too dull to cut cables. Looking to buy a pair that make nice cuts. What is your preference?

+1 Best ones I’ve used. Well worth the extra $10 imho

Did you tighten them up a bit? I was just getting ready to toss my 20 year old set but tried tightening them up a tweak. Shazam, they cut just like they’re new again. I’ve done at least 10 cuts since tightening them and they still are working perfectly.

+1 for Park Tool CN-10. The last you’ll ever buy.
Cheap nashbar ones. Work just fine
Thanks everyone! I’ll try tightening mine up a bit first and if that doesn’t work looks like park tools gets the majority!
Park…bought 'em on Amazon.
Ditto park. Get em, done.
I like the Felco C7. I haven’t used the Park model, but internet-lore said the Felco was the best available.
+1 on Park
Used cheap HW store ones for years and it’s amazing how nice it is to have the right tool finally.

That’s the one I have. Works great.

Just picked up a pair of Felco C7’s as well after reading said internet-lore. Nothing to compare them too but they cut very easily. Picked up a used pair on eBay from a guy selling lots of them for about $20 shipped to my door. Might be worth a look.
I can’t believe no one has mentioned Shimano cable cutters.
There is Shimano and then there is everyone else. Not even close…
Dremel Tool with a cut-off wheel. Easy, fast, no fraying.
