What are your plans for the next season?

Now that the 2014 season is basically over, what races are you planning to do next year? What are your goals?

I’m just curious to hear and find inspiration.

First half of the year, HITS North Country full in June. Goal is to break 13 hours, but just bettering my only prior IM time (13:36) will be good.

Second half will be Virgil Crest 100 miler in upstate New York end of September. I did the 50 miler there last year, and it was one of the toughest runs I have ever done. Crazy. I don’t have any time goal for that one. Just to finish, but secretly I’d love to keep it down around my only other 100 miler time (28:05, albeit much much flatter, though I was way undertrained).

There will be a half marathon in the IM leadup and a marathon between the IM and the 100, though not sure yet which those will be. My longterm goal for the fall of 2016, hopefully, is to run the Northville-Placid Trail: 130 miles through the Adirondacks.

What are your plans and goals? You can’t ask and not tell!

If I sit around enough, drinking beer and eating junk, I’m hoping my wife will “convince” me to do another IM. Have my eye on Challenge AC.

My wife and I are doing IM Denmark.

I like to do some running and triathlon races. My plan is to do a spring and a fall marathon, probably in Switzerland or Germany. It would be nice to BQ finally.

As for triathlons, I’m planning to do a half Ironman distance, if I can find a nice race (again, in Europe). But I’m not sure if I can handle the full Ironman distance next year. Definitely in 2016 I’m looking into Ironman, but that’s a long way to go for me.

Sounds like a fun season, Agi!

Focus on Olympic distance and try to get enough good results to make the Marine Corps team in 2016. Also would like to do a 70.3 late in the year for the first time.

I plan on running a couple open half marathons and 10ks as well if they’re local and can be used as training runs.
