What are we listening to tonight?

@jeffa To put in perspective, 2009 is more than 25 years/almost 30 past the last Bruce show I saw, ever

I was just a little too young for the first chapter of the E Street Band. The Tunnel of Love Express was the first tour I was able to go to, then nothing until the 1999 reunion.

I’m in the middle of watching Belgian TV series De Dag, and I had to look up the soundtrack. The score, in a dark electro genre, was composed by David Martijn of GOOSE (not Goose) before the series was even filmed.

Looks like the playlist was recently deleted?

Well, the playlist is now back, but you’ll have to find it yourself on SoundCloud.

I am obsessed with this album. I was never a big TS fan prior to this, except for the song exile with Bon Iver, but this one latched onto my brain, and I could listen to it on repeat. Forever.

I have never listened to any of her stuff besides a couple of songs plus the new album.

In Puerto Banus, Marbella listening to this. Presuming it was the inspiration for the song. His biggest hit was obviously “19” but he then became a very respected pioneer and prolific producer of smooth jazz and chill out music post “19”

With piranha teeth, I been dreaming of you…

In a similar(ish) vein.. currently diving into these guys’ music. Also just saw they’re opening for Jack Johnson on his tour next summer.

Listening to Dead 5/8/77 Cornell.

In honor of Donna’s passing.

I’ve heard that’s a fairly legendary set, but

Why would you torture yourself that way? /p

Funny.. I listened to the same show last week for the same reason, but I also concur with RandMart’s general assessment of Donna, especially her wailing away on “Playing In The Band”.

I had heard of these fellas but hadn’t listened. I am impressed.

Putting your WAG in the band rarely works out

Stevie Nicks is an exception

Great call. And it gave the world this amazing song. The eye contact that begins at 4:17 is intense.

I love the comment “these two became multimillionaires by singing about their breakup for four decades”

Not untrue
