There’s a lot of interesting orchestral rock covering going on out there on YT, and really like it. I just wonder how much of it is actually “good”. YT videos can be curated so carefully, sounds mixed in for depth, auto-tune, I don’t know. Have you caught any live recordings? Report back after you see them for sure.
Only live recordings on YT are phone so not the best sounding but here’s one of Sweet Child O’ Mine, no vocals.
Thanks for sending me down that rabbit hole, lol. I liked their Nothing Else Matters cover.
“Father Figure” on Showgirl is NOT cover ![]()

Though she DID give George Michael songwriting credit, which was nice
Y’know … “Faith” deserves to be on that “Track One, Side One .. Debut Album”
We took an extended shower listening to Faith about an hour ago. My wife knew a song or two but didn’t really appreciate the demigod status of George Michael as a singer songwriter. I’m not sure if my singing in the shower added or subtracted from the experience but she left a changed woman.
He was a king among men.
I’'m digging The Rock Orchestra. Good add to this thread. It’s perfect music for work - kinda sorta get my metal fix without offending.
Good soundtrack for a Dia De Los Muertos party!!! Thanks!!!
Thanks, someone posted on FB, I almost didn’t click on it but so glad I did.
So i just discovered Noga Erez.
Wow!
Just a day left before we fly to to Asheville to see the Troub! Figured was a good evening for the new album…
I’ve heard good things about this one.
It’s everything you like from TT. Honey knows it pretty well front to back; I need more listens - I suck.
Running a little Galactic for today’s ER shift. New Orleans funk, solid sounds.
Bruce’s final show at his “home away from home”, the Philadelphia Spectrum, and probably the best concert I’ve been to.
Stanton Moore!
