I am looking to do several international triathlons over the next two years and was wondering everyone here thought were the best international triathlons around. I am planning on signing up for the London Triathlon. I am doiing these in olympic distance. I do not have any real interest in the ironman or half ironman just yet. Any suggestions???
I did London last year and they had sub 2:30 cat that raced into central London, we turned infornt of Big Ben - awesome race (I had a great race that day!) I emailed them to ask about a sub 2:30 again, they couldn’t confirm so I’m not going with the 5000 other starters! I will aim for IMUK this year.
But I must admit my fav. is the Windsor Triathlon (Queens back garden ) Check out www.humanrace.co.uk AWESOME!
RBTT/Fatum on Curacao and St. Kitts.
Windsor’s a good race in the UK and one of the biggest excluding London.
Have a look at Noosa in Australia. http://www.noosatri.com.au/ An excellent race.
I will probably race “holsten city man” in hamburg , havnt race it before but its a big race and last year it got great reviews.

Won by Chris McCormack in 2003. Will be held on 27th June in 2004. Perfect organization, more than 1000 starters.

I highly recommend the Tagaman Triathlon on the Pacific island of Saipan about 25 min flight north of Guam. Check out www.tagaman.com
The distances are a between 1/2 IM and Olympic (2K swim, 60K bike, 15K run). The entire island comes out to support the race. The water is beautiful, clear visibility up to 100ft and a beautiful 82 degrees even at 80 feet deep, not that you’ll be swimming that deep.
The post-race party has to be one of the best in the world. The large Aussie contingency there this year will make sure of that. They get a decent international field with athletes from Australia, Korea, Japan and some decent athletes from Guam as well.
Getting there will cost you a pretty penny, but I think the experience is well worth it.
