So I have the option of buying a used wetsuit or buying a new one.
One of the things I’m wondering is if wetsuits have some sort of useful life-span? Does the neoprene break down at some point?

My wetsuit is ~15 years old, and still works fine. Some of the seams have needed repair, but the neoprene seems okay.
Just a thought, most triathletes will admit to peeing in their wetsuit, do you really want a used one?
Well, considering that we all end up swimming in (possibly drinking in) other people’s pee, I guess I’m not that concerned about wearing the wetsuit.

: O Great. Something to think about at the next tri. Not only to I have to watch for the bikers pissing on me off their bikes now I have to drink it during the swim.
