Just received a ‘Last Minute Information’ email from IMLOU, and there was a section in there for wetsuit rentals. Has this race ever been wetsuit legal? Just wondered if I should even bother packing mine.
Hate to think of some people shelling out $$ for a wetsuit that they won’t be allowed to use, especially since I didn’t see any mention that the water temps have historically been high enough to make use of wetsuits ‘illegal’.
Yeah, I saw that too.
I’m bringing my wetsuit just because I can, but I have no reasonable expectation to believe it will be allowed. No way is the temp going to be cool enough for it and it’s never been wetsuit legal prior.

I did a race in July that started at Tumbleweed and it wasn’t wetsuit legal, so there is zero chance this will be wetsuit legal. Just bring a swimskin.
