What’s up everyone? Today was the first day I swam with my new wetsuit. For starters, I’m 5’6 and 136 lbs… size 4. Prior to me buying the Orca predator2 wetsuit, I could have done away with either a size 5 or 6 per the sizing charts. To be honest, I do like this wetsuit for (being my first one). And, I bought the bigger, size 6.
Well, today when I was swimming in it, all of a sudden I noticed some leaking down my back… into the legs… when I was swimming I was like WTF, is this suppose to leak a little? Maybe there was air in the wetsuit too, the air felt felt like a fart was bubbling in there or something. Do you know what I mean!? LOL.
Ok, so is this normal to have a little leaking?! I felt like it fit well, (onland). Now I’m wondering if I should have gone with a size smaller? NOW WHAT? Damn, anyone want to trade wetsuits?
It’s probably way too big, they should feel uncomfortably tight on dry land. Usually if you can get it on in a couple minutes, then it is not too tight. Just take it back and get the one that fits…
Anyhow, looking at the Orca size chart, the 6 goes from 132-154 and the 5 from 125-141. I would go with the 5 and the person who sold you the suit probably should have advised that as well. As the pther poster said, it should feel tight and uncomfy on land. The 5 would probably feel that way.
So, you could go to them with the suit and say WTF (You’re a chick who says it like it is) and see what they say. Worst case scenario, you can try the clssifieds here and see what happens.
