Wetsuit Q: Neoprene rashguard top under sleevless?

Does it work for you? I am looking at extending the comfort range of a sleeveless suit.
Let’s say the person is a newbie and “typical” tri. swimmer (not super tough but not wimpy when it comes to tolerating water temps) and just wants the suit for a few lake swims and a few short and medium distance events per summer in lakes of 65 degrees and above. Specifically I was looking at Neosport. Is it the best deal around? My buddy loves his sleeveless Neosport for mid-summer lake swims and sprint races.

Bump ?

I guess I don’t get it.

You want to put a neoprene rash guard under a sleeveless.

Why not just get a full sleeve? Make sure it fits and go that route as opposed
to this, which seems…um…oh yeah, crazy.

Not thinking about transitions here. Thinking about a sleeveless for most of the season and the extra layer for training and maybe the odd race in colder conditions. Sleeveless is nice for many reasons.

Just wondering if anyone tried this idea and if it worked:

I wasn’t thinking about transitions either.

I’m not a fish. If I were, I’d be a flounder…except they swim too good for me to be one of them.
I’m like a puffed up puffer fish. Only slower.

BUT, I don’t see what a sleeveless buys you over a full sleeve where you make sure
the shoulders don’t bind. A little less bicep tiredness?

Dan used to think there was no reason to go sleeveless.

If it’s just training, I’d rather have something too warm that I can either open the zipper a little
on or pull on the neck to let water in than worry about a neoprene rash guard under a sleeveless.

IMO.
