I’m thinking of buying a “high-end” wetsuit for my last few races of the year. But was wondering if its smarter to wait a few months and see if "the next great thing’ comes along in '08. Has anyone heard any rumors?
Wait. At the very least, you’ll have a new suit when you want to start racing. Depending on where you live (and/or where you store your suit), the rubber will start to dry out. So a new suit is always nicer. No reason to buy a suit just to put it in the closet for 6 months (or more). Plus, it is likely that you’ll see some new stuff. I’ve seen some of the new '08 suits, and you may think they’re cool. Or you may think their gimicks.
Does Blue Seventy have anything new and exciting coming out?

I would wait to see what will come out. Having said that sometimes you can get a good deal in the fall on suits that they want to clear out.
For what it’s worth…I bought the new Zoot Zenith this season and I can say it’s absolutely the best wetsuit I have ever swam in. This is my third suit as I have had a cheaper entry level suit and then an Ironman (blue seventy) and now the zoot. Perhaps you could find a deal on this suit considering it’s end of season and since it only came out this year I don’t think they will be coming out with the “next best” anytime soon.
