I’m currently swimming in an Orca Pflex Medium Tall, suited my perfect last season! However, even though I havn’t gain weight I seems to have added shoulder/neck width a lot, since it seems really really tight. Hard to measure if it’s to tight though.
But better safe than sorry, what other suit do you recommend me? What do you guys that are tall and weigth in under 175 use as wetsuit?
I can mention that I have a Ironman Stealth(2003) in size ML and it’s ridiculus big on me…
I’m 195cm tall and weights 78kg for all the guys more familiar to the metric system.
Call Emilio at Desoto. You can get a two piece T1 that will fit your body better because the top and bottom can be difference sizes. h2ofun just got one and hes i hink around your size and said that he was really happy about being able to get the two sizes to actually fit him.
I’m not as small as you, but @ 6’5", 185lbs., I find that my Desoto T1 bibjohns, pullover & vest fit great. You can get fitted with different sizes based off your body shape and Emilio will work with you to find the perfect combination.
Another option, is to look at the Blue Seventy Helix (size MT), they supposedly fit tighter than the IM Stealth. I see you have a ML(large) currently. I had a size MT(tall) (IM Reaction) before I bought my T1. Try that and see if it fits your frame.
You are what I would call a challenging fit. Very tall and very lean/thin. I have had good luck with folks like you sizing down in the Nineteen line to our ML, but only if your torso length fits our fit and only in our top-of-the-line suit - the Frequency. Your options beyond that would be to get a suit modified or customized( if you bought a bigger size and have it taken in), which some dive/surf shops will do if they know what they are doing.
