HI everyone - im looking for some advice on a great wet suit to purchase? any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
It really, really is about fit. You need to go to a local shop that knows how to fit you and spend the time to put it on properly. I wasted a lot of time because the first shop I went to did not do that. Until you get used to putting one on, it takes a while and it can not be rushed. You need to keep pulling up all parts of it (ankles, thighs, stomach, arms, shoulders). The area of fit that is most important is the shoulders. I would not recommend buying one mail order. A triathlon wetsuit should fit quite tight (it is definitely not a comfortable feeling) but not suffocating.
When you do get one that fits and buy it, make sure you lube your ankles, wrists and neck (especially the neck or you will get a rash) with a proper lube before each use…
Like everything else, go with what fits.
