i know many people want to shut them up but im of the opinion that we need to give them megaphones. the more people hear them the more people hate them. as long as the media pays any attention the them then i think the only real way to combat them is to take what they say and underline it. they obviously are ineffective with their message because they are shrinking in numbers and only have a couple members outside their family.

I was wondering what Jobs did to get their attention, now I know. They are in need of more exposure since they may likely now be short on cash. If they go to a large event like Jobs funeral they may be able to get arrested which will allow them to sue so they can bring in more money which will allow them to pay for the new IPhone 5 when it comes out.
If they really do try to do this, I would expect to see a retaliatory attack by Apple’s devotee ranks, or “fanboys” if you will. It will not be pretty. I’d expect to not only see people out there reacting against Westboro, but I’d expect that any internet based entity would be immediately disabled.

I abhor violence but it would be so sweet to see these people get their butt kicked.

They were going to protest a Marines funeral near me last week until a local radio show gave them air time in exchange for their silence. It might have gotten ugly and it surely will at some point.
Now if they can fire the middle school principal who decided that the kids were not allowed to look out the windows or go outside to show their respect I will be happy.
Except they get media coverage, which is what they want.
I suspect they’re looking to reach that .0001%, something they wouldn’t be able to do without the help of negative media coverage, ridicule, creative counterprotests, etc…
I still think the best thing to do to these “people” is not to confront them it’s to ignore them. They get off on the negative attention. Just let them wave there signs and pay no mind. I have learned lately the best way to fight drama is to just ignore it.

yeah, as i understand it, they generate most of their revenue from lawsuits.
