Welcome to the NFL Johnny Football

Good lawd he was tough to watch. Just unimpressive

True. However, his team didn’t help much with penalties and dropped passes.

gonna go back to being Johnny Clipboard after that performance.

I would have effing hit those receivers. /sarc

Agreed he’s not surrounded by a lot of talent but he looked overwhelmed and overmatched.

Yep, little different when you have no pressure on you versus all the pressure.

And yet somehow Hoyer found a way to win lots of weeks. I don’t know all the ins and outs, but it seems strange that they would dump a QB that was finally giving them a winning season.

A rookie QB was unimpressive? That’s never happened before!

Hey now, the offense did get 3 first downs besides the 2 the Bengals gave them on penalties. I’ve never see an NFL team have 10 drives and only 38 plays. That was brutal.

He is ready for the CFL.

Watching the Bengals taunt him with that stupid fuck “money” gesture was awesome.

I did not see this. Details?

Three money signs in this package.

You know what would really be funny? I would love to see the opposing defensive players work out a little routine whenever there is an interception. One would do the money sign, and the get on his knees like he was begging. The one that just made the interception would act like he was taking money out of his wallet and giving money to the one begging. I usually hate dances and stuff after plays, but that one would be great.

I’m a born, raised, and die-hard Browns fan. And I agree with you. I hate that arrogant move he makes and glad others were rubbing it in his face. He looked like complete ass, literally running scared out of the pocket every play, throwing off-foot, etc. I wanted Hoyer to be the qb through the season, and can’t believe the number of fans who actually thought Manziel would be the saving grace that no other rookie qb has ever been for the Browns. I hope Pettine goes back to Hoyer for the next 2 games, no matter how bad it makes him look on the surface as a coach.

As we say here Cleveland, there’s always next year.

Next year Hoyer will be a backup somewhere else. And Manziel will be THE guy. That should be fun.

Derek Anderson played pretty well yesterday, maybe you can bring him back.

As bad as he was his coach was worse. The brownies still had a slim chance to make the playoffs at the half. Why wasn’t Hoyer brought in? All we’ve heard over the last 3 weeks is that Hoyer could not deliver points. Well apparently it wasn’t just him. By leaving Johnny in the game the Browns are done for the year and have made it quite clear that Hoyer will be looking for a new home next year too. What really was an unexpectedly good season for the Browns just blew up. One more thing, did Johnny physically look like a boy among men to you? I thought he was small but I don’t remember Flutie looking so little. I will be surprised if Johnny isn’t on the IR by the end of the year.

I guess you missed the penalties they got for the taunting then.

He’s a hell of a lot bigger than Doug Flutie, like 3" and 30lbs. bigger, but he did look like a 5th grader playing with his big brother’s friends out there.

I don’t think the players surrounding Flutie were as huge as NFL players are today. Most of Flutie’s significant playing days were in the late 80s, when 300 lb’ers were just starting to be a thing in the NFL. He played some in the early 2000s, but even in the last 10 years, players are bigger.
