I posted this in the LR photo thread, but I thought I’d post it here because it seems to be no more. On several rides this year, I could see no evidence that the header sign was still there. Perhaps there is a new owner.
Well…crap. At least we had a good run…
I’m considering putting that road on my “places I don’t run anymore, because someone I knew used to live there, but they died” list, except it’s also my skateboarding hill
Ugh RIP Hanging Branch, we hardly knew you.
No comment on this part? LOL
Over the past few years, Cancer and COVID have not been kind to my friends from Church whose homes & shops I would often run past, with a wave ‘Hello!’ Or a stop to chat ‘how far today?’ they’d ask
Not only is there that upsetting feeling when seeing a stranger’s car in the driveway, or another family’s Christmas or Halloween decorations outside, or sign saying “CLOSED” followed sometime afterwards by a change in the frontage of the building — there’s the ‘ghost thing’
I’d rather just not go that way, if that’s ok?
Whenever I see a tree cut down, divided up, and stacked at the side of the road like this, I always wonder ‘how many skateboards would this make?’
Or perhaps, a desk?
The trees be like: “weirdest guy we’ve seen running down the road”
Maybe it’s the trees themselves that drop the acorns on me, and not the squirrels?
