Weight of Cervelo Wolf classic fork?

Anyone know the weight of the cervelo wolf classic fork? On my cervelo P2C 2007.

Worth an upgrade to the easton aero fork @ 385g?

tfun~

bumb for the Monday morning crowd.

I’m assuming you’re referring to the Wolf CL. I haven’t ridden the fork, but I am in the midst of deciding between getting a 2008 P2C with the Wolf TT or a 2009 with the 3T Funda, and one of my deciding factors to justify the price difference is the cost of a fork upgrade to what I’m used to riding, the EC90 Aero. Based on what I could find, the Wolf CL is approx. 525g (you didn’t askm but the Wolf TT is +150g, the 3T is -150g).

I’ve been riding the EC90 on my P2K for a couple years now, no problems at all, great fork as far as I can tell.

Save the money for some other, more meaningful upgrade. My P2C came with the Wolf TT fork, which seems to weigh about half a ton, so I swapped it out for the Easton EC90 Aero. That fork is much lighter, but unfortunately the flex is horrendous, worse than any other fork I’ve ever ridden. (The whole front end felt like jelly; by the way, at 170lbs I’m not a particularly heavy guy.) So a week later I put the Wolf fork back on the bike and auctioned the Easton fork off. Because I cut the steerer, I lost about $80 on it–not a huge amount of money, but given the sheer waste of it I regret it to this day.

thanks peeps…may just save it for the new Easton cranks and ceramic bottom bracket then. Looks like a nice saving on the fork of 525g-385g=140g. That is the Wolf Classic minus the Easton aero.

That bad a ride on the fork, good roads or bad?

oh FFS if you’re going to blow it on carbon cranks that weigh <100g less than DA cranks i’d rather you spend the money on a better fork, like a 3T Funda.

FFS (for fakkkkk sakes)?

yup.

Super-smooth. I didn’t dare to take the bike onto the rougher roads in the area at all…
