“adductor and abductor muscles that lie inside and outside of your knee joints”

Which muscles though? Because I sure don’t want my knees to have any abduction or adduction. My hips, of course. Then again, I may be wrong, but I think the muscles thank cause hip abduction and adduction don’t go to my knees.

Some do. I’d have to get out my anatomy books to find them all. The tensor fascia latae can probably produce an abductor moment at the knee via the IT band. Medially there is the sartorius and gracilis (?) that would probably contribute to some adduction. That being said, I wouldn’t think any of those muscles would have much influence on the medial-lateral stability of the knee.
