i love lifting weights but what should be your routine if you are racing almost every week?

I find that I’m able to recover pretty well from a weights session in a few days, so I’d probably drop my volumes, go for better Range of Movement through your program, add a little extra speed to your rep’s, and put in a gym session early in the week. Perhaps Identifying your Key races ie 1-4 events, and tapering the weights of in the weeks before those events would be a good compromise, and give you an idea of what sort of effect your weights have on a weekend performance.

I’m currently Bike racing on Sat from a Weds gym session, and I feel it doesn’t limit me too much but I know on Thursday’s that I wouldn’t have a show of reaching higher intensities, my legs are usually a little tired. :slight_smile:
