Noticed Tom’s suggestion in the “roadbike” post to put a bathroom scale under both wheels and weigh bike with rider to check the weight bias. This is something I’ve never considered. What is the ideal weight bias we are looking at?
Sounds like you’re talking weight distribution between front and rear. We used to do something like that when I raced go-carts but would measure with four scales, one under each wheel.
Not sure what the ideal front/rear ratio would be. It would be different on a road bike than a tri bike. I’d expect to see a higher % on the front wheel on a tri bike.
I’ll admit to a weight bias. I don’t like fatbodies. I never hold a person’s race, creed, color, sex, or political persuasion against them, however.
