I HATE race corners with bricks in them…even if it’s just a line of them outlining the crosswalk.
Great shot!
Note to stunt rider - use your drops in the crits, esp in the corners, pressure on the outside.
Was the bike OK?

Typically when carbon frames slide out in corners they explode into a million pieces, tragically killing any puppies or kittens within a 1/4 mile radius. I’m sure this one was no different.
Mental note: don’t draft someone who wears long fingered gloves in a crit (might be from experience).

Do you even race crits? Every smart rider wears full gloves.

Used to. Too many pileups, so I’ve been sticking to tris and some road racing.
I would point out that the reason to wear long gloves (and a tee under your jersey in the days before baselayers) was that crashes are not all that uncommon.
That’s a quality crit crash… rider using his body to shield the important parts (bike) from the ground. I’ve done a few crits, and I hate them. Last weeks’ (with cobbles) crashed out three of my friends, sending one to the hospital after an untimely face-plant.
