Filling in for @Dr_Tigerchik. How’s everyone’s week going?
I’m now 391 days in a row w/o a particular unhealthy coping skill!!!
4/4 for May

@madMike100 how is your body feeling?

Body from trans-con is GREAT. Body from respiratory tract infection (and/or pollen): not so good. (Hence no reporting, and no real training.)
In relation to the other goals:
Lots of physics in the meantime (some review; have also almost finished a book written in layman’s terms about gluons being the purveyors of force. You might find it interesting. It’s “The God Particle” by Leon Lederman (Nobel), which is pretty cool. He has a follow-up written after the discovery of the Higgs boson, which is the main focus of the books.)
A bit of (applied) math review.
Reduced Youtube usage (but still needs work); a few rehearsals (cello and viola), but not much violin practice; better planning but not great.
That’s the retrospective. (Also lots of spring organization and child behavior management which were not on my list.)
I hope to be back on track before the weekend.
I admire you for sticking to your program in spite of all the difficulties. We’re all rooting for you.

7/7 may first week CHECK MARK!
@PatrickCleary how r u @Chowders @edbikebabe u all too!
Managed to get well soaked at the 5Boros ride last weekend through all of NYC, but got a lot of seat time at an easy pace.
Swimming last night felt really good which is a relief after a lot of meh performances lately. I think my swimming may be very dependent on fueling at this point.
Probably a wet run tonight.

did a great job w my mom’s bday party “hosting” yesterday (my dad, mom, brother via phone). Crossword puzzle theme, had designed cake concept and gave to bakery, crossword wrapped gifts, she had a good night!
All well with me - thanks for asking. I’ve just gone back to lurking for a while! Hope things are going ok with op(s) recovery.
very very slow improvements, emphasis on very very slow.

glad you are well!
Glad to hear you’re on the mend, even if slow.
Yesterday was treadmill intervals. Today was a Zwift FTP intervals workout followed by a 5K run. It was my first time doing a brick, not exactly the experience I expected, but the legs figured it out eventually.
Next week will hopefully be an open water swim in a wetsuit for the first time, a ride into the office on Friday for Bike to Work Day, and Sunday is the Harpoon 5 miler, so it should be a good week. Today’s experience suggests spending some time on Zwift is in order too. Also, finishing up prep on the TT bike.
