Officially submitted my portfolio for evaluation on Friday :tada:
This week is recovery week after a big block of training.
OH asked me if I might want to do a tri again next year (last tri was 2019) - that was a big no from me. “Just something short, like a 70.3” he said to try and lure me in. It hasn’t worked.

You might notice that I didn’t post swim times. Gotta run fast to make up for what’s going to be a huge time gap out of the water, and a mediocre bike leg. The dog leg i mentioned is just a weird little right then left turn that added 100m I wasn’t expecting.

Recovery today and then likely a Zwift and pool session in the rain. Headed to a friend’s lake house with all the kit this weekend to finish off training, swim across a lake, and start tapering for race day. Oh. And dinner reservations, need to make those.

Anyone around Danbury, CT that has dinner recommendations?

have felt self nearly slipping into the habit I have not used for 408 days several times in the past week+, always caught self but don’t like this. Will work on this w dictation journaling

Medium Zwift ride last night, to replace a pool swim that was blocked by a swim meet. I’m starting Zwift’s FTP tune-up program, as mine could use some improvement (and the brakes not rubbing on the wheel during the entire ride).

Probably a swim Friday morning before work, and then a weekend in the mountains at a friend’s place riding and swimming in the lake there (if it stops raining).

I discovered last week that my brakes had probably been rubbing all spring. I’m suddenly faster. I’m not complaining but I’ll definitely be looking at my brakes more closely now.

Pretty chill ride today on the TT bike couple adjustments made after. Pretty much set for next weekend. Going the lake is warm enough for a swim tomorrow, it was chilly when I put my feet in yesterday.
