Way OT - thanks

a few weeks back, i asked for advice for writing. you guys gave me advice, and i just finished a short story of which i am very proud. for the first time in a while, it had almost nothing to do with swimming, biking, or running.

if you want to read it, it’s 22 pages double spaced, so it’s not too long. i’d be glad to email it to anyone who wants to read it. or i could post it - but who wants to read that long of a post?

but this wouldn’t have happened if i hadn’t gotten advice from slowtwitchians. thanks.

I’ll take a copy via e-mail. Thanks!

me two Captain.

Is did you write in my part about Mrs. Clinton?

I’m always up for quick read. Please send a copy to me, email address in in my profile.

Thanks,

Tucker

me three! (slow day).

no it’s not.

what’s the topic?

Sorry about that, it’s in there now. Thanks.

Tucker

well, the title is a good answer to your question, to a certain degree:

“Poker, Road Trips, and Tragedy: A Manual for the Novice”

then again, it is somewhat vague.

the plot is more or less the story of me and three of my friends on a roadtrip, but obviously it encompasses more than that

As a disgruntled wannabe writer of sorts, I’d love to read it. jcurtis73@earthlink.net

I’ll take a look. My email is in my profile

I’m no literary critic but I liked the story. Kind of a page turner (or scroller is more like it). Thanks for sharing.

BTW, where abouts in Cleveland are you? I lived there, Brook Park actually, until I was 15. Still have some family in the area. I miss it some but I could never move back after living in the desert southwest for so long now.

Tucker

I’d love to read it! Leighcostain@yahoo.com

Good for you…I’d like to give it a read:

.

Hey, man- am I not allowed to read it or something? My e-mail is now in my profile. . . Please? Pretty please?

the answer i’m looking for is “pretty please with sugar on top”, so no, you may not read it. actually, i sent it to you hours ago, and i’m not sure why you didn’t get it. i tried again.

thanks for the overwhelming number of curious responses. i meant what you emailed you guys - i love feedback, good or bad (although constructive criticism is preferred over blatant mockery). so please, let me know.

also, sorry about the delayed responses to most of your posts. just came back from a killer ride, where i went to a river valley and just climbed out, descended back in, climbed out, over and over again. i loved it.

tucker,

thanks for the feedback. i go to school at case western reserve u, on the eastern edge of cleveland (by cleveland heights). as i mentioned in my previous post, today i played in the “hills” of the chagrin river valley. i’m trying to remember where brook park is (i have no car, so i don’t know much aside from where i live, run, and ride). is it on the west side?

“Give it to me baby!!!”

uh huh, uh huh

and all the girls say, he’s pretty fly for a tri-guy

sorry, was that too 90s?

Yeah, it’s on the west side. Brook Park is basically right by the airport, actually I think Brook Park used to own the land that the airport is on.

My brother used to live in Cleveland Heights now he lives in Chagrin Falls.
