Well having spent all day Saturday, reading it to my kids, and half the day Sunday to finish it. All I can say is for not having read the series, you have good instincts.

I was about to scream at you for your post title… glad to find it in jest, BECAUSE I HAVEN’T FINISHED THE BOOK YET AND I’M GOING TO BE REALLY MAD IF YOU OR ANYONE ELSE TELLS ME THE ENDING!
I’m savoring it. It’s the last one. And so far, it’s really good.

I had guests all weekend, which was wonderful - I didn’t open the book until last night when said guests drove me home (real home, not summerhouse home). I knew if I started before that, I wouldn’t want to be social, I’d want my little nose burried in the book

Why would you post something like that? I was furious and disappointed to see the thread title and so relieved to see the OP was joking. Then of course two posts later some jerk has to ruin the ending anyway for those of us who didn’t have all weekend to finish it. Just wow, some people really can’t help themselves.

Some people are taking this way to far. You will be really pissed when you find out that Ron and Harry have a love child, that is actually a Hermaphrodite then they get blown up by a nuclear Bomb that is launched by the russians and starts world war three. Oh Yea maybe I should put spoiler in there.
If I told you harry does/does not die and that this thread is/is not true, I would be ruining the book for you. Just read the darn book and do what my son did, do not answer the phone or get on the computer untill you are done. Calling someone a “Jerk” because you think they ruined it for you is wrong, if you do not want to know DO NOT READ A THREAD THAT HAS HARRY POTTER IN THE SUBJECT LINE.
Thanks for the obvious advice I shouldn’t open a thread with Harry Potter in the title; now I see the error in my ways. I’ve avoided tv, spoiler sites, anything remotely connected to HP, etc. so I wouldn’t hear the ending. I would never open a thread that says Harry Potter; I opened this thread because the ending was given away. The OP reveals he’s joking and then someone has to still let us know his “hunch” was correct. If that’s not being a jerk, I don’t know what is. Giving away the ending of anything whether it be a sports game or a movie is a pet peeve of mine. I know I’m probably overreacting, but I’m seriously pissed off right now. I’ve followed this series since the beginning and was looking forward to savouring the final book. I’m only three chapters in and knowing Harry dies has completely ruined it for me. And HTFU about what? I have every right to be annoyed the ending to a book I care about was given away so thoughtlessly. Plus Harry dies!!! Now I’m angry, annoyed *and *depressed. I’m going to pour out a little liquor for the boy who survived Voldemort when I get home.
When you are done with the book we will talk. I do not (and I can tell nobody else does either) want to spoil the book for you, JUST DO NOT READ THE OTHER HARRY POTTER THREAD ON HERE
