Watts and RPE

I’ve been watching my watts for probably too long. How long is that? Well, long enough to forget your feelings can change around effort. Somedays I can climb at 300watts without issues, other days I’m breathing fire doing a lot less.

For argument sake, say 180 watts is nice and easy. Should it always feel easy? 180watts on the flats versus 180watts climbing.

How do watts and RPE work together? Is this just a change in fitness or fatigue? It isn’t something I see talked about very often.

no, 180 watts will not be easy after N time where N is sufficiently large to make it no longer easy
