is there a place to find out what wattage from grade and speed. not worried about all the tech stuff like wind road surface tire size ect…
Recent Golden Cheetah versions can do that.
Or look for “BikePower” / “bike_power”: those are programs which can run on your computer.
Of course there are also online tools, search the forum for analyticcycling:
you will find some threads that point you to possible replacements,
e.g., http://forum.slowtwitch.com/gforum.cgi?post=5356552;
Strava will estimate it for you. With that said, any power estimate won’t be very good if you don’t take wind resistance into account unless you’re only looking at long, slow, solo climbs.
Was concerned with some virt. Training on trainer
What trainer do you have? You could get a really good estimate of power just from speed on the trainer.

Find wheel speed in km/h on X axis, match with wattage on Y axis.
