Its the vintage car races at the track and the classic car show in town on the Friday. Nice for me this year since Triumph will be the honored marque. Anybody else into this sort of thing?
Never been to the Glen, but I am a big fan of vintage racing. I have been to the vintage races at Road America and also the Monterrey Historics a handful of times. Monterrey is really something else, that whole car week is just insanity. Just being in the area. Road America is probably better to see Can Am cars and also see the cars really open up on a high speed circuit. But Monterrey you get crazy things like a bunch of 250 GTOs racing each other.
The Glen is probably the biggest event of that type in the northeast. Lime Rock is pretty good also, but an entirely different atmosphere.
Sounds like fun. I did a “SRT Experience” at a road track in Western PA a few years ago and took my car on the track in Pocono’s last year. Both were a blast.
Been at Watkins Glen many times for the Fly-by-night race in May and watching NASCAR in August, but I’ve never had my car on the track.
Hopefully you get to drive the boot.
