Am I the only one to get REALLY mad at watching this? I would hope that ALL americans have the same hate for Extreme Muslims as we did for the Japs after Pearl Harbor. We are all worried about Mexicans…with out doubt our time is spent with worry about the wrong folks.
Just to add to the fire - in MY CITY at a mall I am at often there was a terror plot just last week. Why would I not want all Muslims gone?
If you want to get really pissed … talk to the likes of YaHey, squid and LorenzoP in here. According to them for one thing we deserve it because we are friends with Israel. For another we’ve got the KKK and yet another we’re hypocrites cuz of what happend in the crusades. … and … a bunch of other F’ed up stuff (it flows on)… stuff like it’s not the Muslims but anyone from anywhere that can be a terrorist threat.
So we and ours … family, friends and civillians in general … we deserve it because we are the voters that vote in the governments. … I heard that exact same comment from a Muslim ‘friend’ whom I thought was a thinking fellow just after 9/11, whom I now know is a deadshit (he’s always been a greasy kind of son of a pig anyway) and keep away from lest I break his face and flatten him the next time he opens his Muslim gob, … and now I hear the same crap from some right here in the LR.
Spouting of such crap needs to be neutralized and exposed for what it is … traitorism! (if there is such a word … nevertheless there is such a thing))

Frankly, I’m scared to watch the movie. I know that sounds crazy, but some things hit just a little too close to home if you know what I mean. 2 years ago, my neighbor highly recommended the movie Ladder 49. Her son is the same age as my youngest, so I figured I would bring it home and watch it with the kids. By the end of the movie I was disturbed, my kids were crying…it was a complete meltdown.
I heard about that mall situation out by you. That is totally crazy. I think if see any terrorism in this country, it will be from brain-washed, home-grown nit wits like that.

No, you are not alone.
I just worry when hatred spreads to ALL muslims. I’ve had quite a few friends who are muslim and they deplore the terrorists. One guy I work with was actually upset when he took a trip on an airplane and wasn’t searched. He is one of the most kind-hearted people I have ever met, and being around him made me want to be a better person. I personally don’t look at muslims and see ticking time bombs. I see people with families who are a lot like me, just have a different belief system. Extremists are a different case, but they are in no way the majority.

The reason one should not hate all muslims is that hate is not a productive or fulfilling state of mind in which to behave. Indeed hatred of all muslims is the antithesis of democracy and promotes behaviour startingly like that of the extreme muslims you describe.
Not in the majority? Next time it occurs and it won’t take long, pay attention and you’ll see another of those Muslim mass hate expressions of the desire to exact violence kind of demonstrations.
Your friendly Muslim friends, I’ll bet they aren’t very devout Muslims. If you’ve ever seen the husband peck the wife on the cheek or the little girl or mother aren’t wrapped up like ninjas with only their eyeballs popping out … they aren’t the real McCoy. They are Muslims by birth who are not adhering to the Shiria Law and happily not to do so and getting away with it because they are living in the USA or the West.
And good on them. No wonder they wanted out and came to the US. And they probably are more the minority than the majority. I think you’ve got it arse about.

Well that’s all so well and goodie two shoes Cookie except there wouldn’t be any democracies to worry about diminishing in the first place, if everyone had adopted your philosophy. WW1 and WW11 would have seen to that long ago if we weren’t willing to respond to threats with force for fear of being branded hateful and losing our democratic principles and being no better than the perps.

I do agree we should not HATE ALL Muslims … those that are not under the spell of Islam and keep and open mind and can see right from wrong are fine. I’ve come across Muslims by birth and by namesake who eat pork ribs and loving it and for sure such Muslims don’t support terrorism and never will. The ninja suit I’ve been criticised as racist for mentioning was actually coined by this Muslim friend of mine, … Affendi … colleague … I met in Kuching Sarawak East Malaysia back in '86 when I was stationed there. Yup lot’s of Muslims and ninjas and robed men with the long pointy beards wearing the flowing robes in that region who really despise infedels. Every morning before sunrise you get that racket from all the Mosques with them huge PA system speakers blaring 360 degrees out from the towers. Want to talk hate? You can feel it oozing out of these Muslims as you walk past. They would refuse to touch anything you happened to put your hands on and it still confuses me as to how they have that ability to pull such an evil eye at you.
In contrast me mate Fandi was a cool dude … he really was a riot and we had lot’s of good laughs together … but he was in a minority for sure.
And Cookie you’re from the UK. You should know better than anyone what Islam does to the Muslim who adheres to it. Invited in for migration, many homegrown … but complimentary of their religious beliefs we have the London Bombings. And the real clincher is that surveys show that a pretty big proportion of your Muslim community support those bombings.

We watched the movie the other night at the firehouse. I thought it was ok but not one of Stone’s better movies. It is funny how time changes things. After 9/11 we couldn’t do wrong. We were told how much we were appreciated in our community. Now five years later we are told by our city council we are overpaid. The movie did not rehash bad memories but reminded me of the strength of the human spirit. 343 of my bros were lost on that day. Mentally I have moved on but I will never forget.
Mate I’m not a FireFighter and not even an American. But I saw the actual footage of 9/11 which stopped me dead in my tracks on that fateful day as I was doing a car audio installation. I had a TV suspended from the ceiling in my workshop at the time. I really could not believe what I was seeing, watching those real human beings dropping off the towers and then the towers eventually collapsing. At first I thought, “This can’t be a news flash, it’s got to be a movie or sumpthin.” It’s something I’ll remember for life.
I don’t need a movie to remind me.
And of course the same shit has happened all over the world. Which is why none of us in the West or in any democracy not run by Muslims should know the score when it comes to Islam. The verbal abuse I heap on Muslim sympathisers is not even a minute fraction of what they deserve. Their attitude is as much a threat as that Muslim ideology itself and in fact paves the way for these Islamists to move toward their objectives.
I never liked that Muslim attitude from their devout before and after 9/11 and all the other shit that’s been going on, I would be more than willing to bear arms against them anytime if I was called back as a reserve.

Good point - it added to my previous mis-trust. The thing is that even if this local idiot who wanted to bomb the mall (and was stopped by the FBI) did not know Osama…well my friends, he DID know Osama’s god. Telling a devout Muslim that killing the infedels is wrong is about as plausible as telling a X-Ian that thier god and beleifs are all false.

Yes Nipsy as RC says, “same God.” … ie same beliefs. … everytime there’s a terrorist attack or an attempt foiled it’s a safe bet that it’s almost always Muslim … mass hate demonstrations every couple of months or so … the only group of people so consistent? … Muslims.
Not all Muslims … but a very high percentage of Muslims who adhere to the religion … it’s not all a coincidence you know? … Perhaps being cocooned in your American lifestyle in the USA, your mind simply cannot compute how other people as a major group from other places in the world can be totally and fundamentally so different in … values, the way they think and how they are motivated … good and bad.
Serious radical Muslims are extremely motivated to the extent of sacrificing themselves in suicide bombings to blow up innocent civillians all the time. Where does that fit into your value system? Osama Bin Laden and others have said that ‘we’ (meaning devout Mulsms) embrace death. They percieve that as their strength. Does your community as a whole embrace death as a philosophy?
And masses of Muslims have demostrated their support, from those in Iran, Palestine to Lebanon to Indonesia etc, etc and even the surveys of the Muslim community in London show it. If you had secret cameras and mikes hidden in your Mosques in the USA or in OZ or anywhere for that matter… guaranteed you’ll get footage of the same ‘radical’ Islam … which is really the true Islam.
Intellectual Muslims … from the Head of Middle Eastern Studies in UCLA to the Middle Eastern Ambassador to the West have admitted that the radicalism arises from the Mosques and the teachings of the religious leaders themselves. The consistent comment is that hardly a one of those religious leaders preach a philosophy that promotes Muslims to intergrate with the rest of the world. They stop short of saying that it’s the religion itself but blame it on the interpretation. No prizes for guessing why … but if you look at the Koran itself …
They fear a them against us final showdown as the Muslims become more aggressive and better equiped which will lead to a mass destruction of their fellow brothers and sisters as others are forced to react. They as intellectual thinking Muslims can’t find a solution.
Does that boggle your mind? … throw a wrench in the thought process? …is your brain able to compute … that there’s this major institutional religion that does not promote peace and love to all mankind … in fact quite the opposite?
